Exhibit, Presentation and Workshop

Paul Unks will be exhibiting his latest gold tones and photogravures of Edward Curtis’s original photographs at Koelbel Library in Centennial Colorado during the month of November. Custom hand made period frames will be featured in the exhibit. Paul will also give a presentation and workshop.

On Wednesday November 7th , 7PM - 8:30PM Paul will give a talk entitled “Capturing the Old West: Photography of Edward Curtis”. There will be a slide show featuring 100 master prints and a question answer discussion session.

On Monday November 12th , 7PM - 8PM Paul will present a workshop on the”Printing Techniques of Edward Curtis”. In this presentation, get an up-close glimpse into the hand-made printing techniques of well-known American Frontier photographer Edward Sheriff Curtis (1868-1952). Paul will share about Curtis's unique and highly-developed process of creating a "photogravure" – a stunning, high-quality image created using a copper plate and hand-cranked press. Plus, see and touch a master photogravure printing plate and the fine artistic papers Curtis used to create his master pieces!
